About this role

Role overview Set the product direction for a shared platform powering current and future AI agents. This senior leadership role combines strategy for core agent capabilities with research and development into emerging approaches, while ensuring the platform is reliable, secure, and useful to teams building customer-facing products.

Responsibilities - Define a multi-year platform strategy and roadmap that balances reliability, product team velocity, and investment in new capabilities. - Guide development of agent building blocks for orchestration, planning and execution, memory and context, tool connections, guardrails, and observability. - Lead product decisions about custom model training and fine-tuning, including when tailored models offer an advantage over general models. - Partner with data science to make decision and recommendation models available as capabilities agents can use. - Run a research program that evaluates orchestration advances and brings promising approaches into production. - Work with engineering to measure and improve scale, latency, per-task cost, security, and compliance. - Hire and develop senior product managers who can own major areas and grow as leaders.

Requirements - At least 10 years of experience building technical products, including 3 or more years leading product managers or running a company. - Hands-on experience with production agents that plan, use tools, and take actions, beyond conversational interfaces alone. - A record of taking an AI or agent product from initial concept to launch with end-to-end ownership. - Fluency with agent orchestration, tool-calling patterns, MCP, retrieval-augmented generation, memory systems, evaluation, and observability. - Technical depth to review architecture, inspect agent traces, and create code prototypes.

Nice to have - Knowledge of model development, fine-tuning, post-training, evaluation design, and the trade-offs between custom and general models. - Experience with platform products serving product and engineering teams, production decision or ranking models, or B2B, go-to-market, and data platforms.

Benefits and work setup - The role is listed as remote. The source also describes comprehensive benefits and well-being programs. US base pay is listed as $192,920–$303,160, with other compensation potentially available; actual offers depend on location and qualifications.
