Job details
About this role
Role overview
Lead the product strategy for the user profile and application experience on a large online employment marketplace. This is a senior, high-impact role owning the full funnel from a job click to a completed, high-quality application, with responsibility for the data model that powers matching, messaging, and recruiter tools.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product area covering user profile, screening, and application submission, including KPIs across the funnel and the design of individual screens and questions - Set and align a shared roadmap across employer product, matching, trust and safety, platform engineering, mobile, messaging, and legal partners, resolving conflicts and making tradeoffs explicit - Drive profile completeness and accuracy so users never have to repeat information, and so downstream matching and employer tools benefit from richer data - Improve conversion from job click to started application and from started to completed application, diagnosing drop-off causes and quantifying the cost of each friction point - Partner with employer-side teams to ensure submitted applications arrive intact in external systems and that the most qualified candidates stand out - Design and interpret experiments with attention to long-term marketplace health, not just short-term application volume - Conduct ongoing user research to understand candidate expectations, tolerance for effort, and trust in sharing personal information
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience with a record of shipping measurable results - Demonstrated success leading products that depend on many teams with competing goals, using clear writing and well-framed tradeoffs to drive alignment and decisions - Comfort working across UI/UX reviews, architecture discussions, and ML model evaluation, with strong instincts for high-traffic consumer flows - Experience owning and improving conversion on a high-volume consumer funnel such as onboarding, checkout, sign-up, or applications through sustained experimentation - Hands-on experience shipping product features powered by machine learning (extraction, classification, ranking, or generative assistance), including pre- and post-launch evaluation - Deeply analytical approach, going beyond dashboards to interrogate the drivers behind the numbers - Self-motivated, comfortable with autonomy, and energized by direct contact with users and original research
Nice to have
- Two-sided marketplace experience, especially work where changes on one side affected outcomes on the other - Background in profile, identity, account, or large-scale consumer data collection, including privacy and consent considerations - Experience shipping a unified experience across web, iOS, and Android - Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or other B2B integrations
Benefits and work setup
- Hybrid work environment with most US-based positions eligible for full-time remote work - Competitive base salary range of $200,000 to $255,000, with potential for additional compensation such as equity or bonuses depending on the role - Comprehensive medical, financial, and other benefits - Flexible vacation and paid time off - Employer-matched 401(k) plan - Equal opportunity employer with a stated commitment to non-discrimination in hiring and employment
