Job details
About this role
Role overview An applied science role focused on computer vision and machine learning within a data-driven product organization. The position involves designing, building, and deploying scalable models that translate research into measurable business impact, with particular emphasis on 3D vision and generative techniques applied to images and video. The work is remote-first and partners closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to convert ambiguous priorities into clear scientific deliverables.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end development of computer vision and machine learning solutions, from problem framing and data exploration through modeling, evaluation, and iteration. - Develop novel approaches using state-of-the-art 3D computer vision and generative AI techniques on both images and video. - Translate ambiguous business priorities into clear scientific requirements in partnership with product, engineering, and business teams. - Design, implement, and analyze experiments to measure model-driven feature impact and guide data-informed decisions. - Build, validate, and maintain production-quality data pipelines, features, and model artifacts that are reproducible and meet quality standards. - Monitor model and data quality in production, investigate performance issues, and propose improvements to maintain accuracy, fairness, and stability. - Communicate technical findings, model performance, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences, and share reusable components and documentation across the team.
Requirements - Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline. - 5+ years of professional experience applying computer vision, statistical analysis, or machine learning to real-world data problems. - Hands-on experience working with large or complex datasets in Python, including common ML libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch, SciPy/NumPy, and Transformers. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver analytical or model-based solutions that influence product, platform, or operational outcomes.
Nice to have - Expertise in 3D computer vision and generative methods. - Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
Benefits and work setup - Remote position with no permanent corporate office; employees may work from a location of their choice within the United States (with limited exceptions). - Competitive base salary plus eligibility for equity awards based on experience, performance, and location. - Exempt employees are paid above applicable state salary thresholds.
