This Data Scientist position focuses on applying machine learning to consumer lending decisions within a fintech organization. Responsibilities
- Translate unstructured business problems into well-defined machine learning projects - Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business analysts to identify high-leverage opportunities for modeling work - Design and implement generalizable predictive models and incorporate learnings back into the product for continuous improvement - Build demos and guidance documentation, and assist with training to help others become more proficient on modeling tools - Take responsibility for modeling implementation in real-world settings through experiments and prototypes aimed at customer value
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Physics, Data Science, or a related discipline - Experience with predictive analytics - Software engineering experience in one or more of the following: Python, C, JavaScript, SQL, or Java - Experience working with big data environments and data analytics - Experience with dataset validation
