Senior Backend Engineer (Laravel / PHP)

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel and PHP within a modern application stack. - Take ownership of features end to end, from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment. - Work closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product owners to align on scope and ship high-impact software. - Champion clean, maintainable code through code review, documentation, and shared engineering practices. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented team culture. - Help scale backend systems to meet growing usage and reliability requirements.

Requirements - Five or more years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial time spent on backend systems. - Strong, hands-on expertise with Laravel and PHP, including modern frameworks, testing practices, and tooling. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English for working effectively across remote teams. - Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have - Experience scaling production backends, optimizing performance, and designing reliable APIs. - Comfort participating in technical assessments or presenting work via portfolio.
