Role overview
A remote-first engineering team is hiring a Cloud Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate infrastructure on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform. The role is embedded with cross-functional squads and focuses on building scalable, reliable cloud foundations for globally distributed products.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP to support production workloads. - Partner with engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver cloud-enabled features end-to-end. - Take ownership of infrastructure components, from provisioning through ongoing operation. - Drive technical excellence through automation, security best practices, and cost awareness. - Contribute to architectural decisions that affect scaling, reliability, and global deployment. - Mentor junior team members and help shape a positive remote engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience in a relevant role. - Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and/or GCP services, and the tools and methodologies tied to cloud engineering. - Excellent problem-solving skills with a commitment to clean, maintainable infrastructure and code. - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for remote collaboration. - A demonstrated interest in mentoring and contributing to team culture.
