Contract Golang Software Engineer (Remote Europe)

Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant backend architectures for client products. - Develop and maintain APIs and backend services, including SaaS platforms. - Work within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Apply modern infrastructure practices, including Docker, containers, and Kubernetes. - Apply testing strategies such as TDD across the full system lifecycle, with attention to performance optimization. - Use AI tools thoughtfully to augment engineering work where they add genuine value. - Communicate technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

- Strong backend engineering experience with Go as a primary or preferred language. - Comfort working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services, including SaaS platforms. - Familiarity with modern infrastructure and distributed systems. - Solid understanding of deployment practices including Docker, containers, and Kubernetes. - Strong background in testing strategies including TDD, with a focus on performance optimization. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an effective written and verbal communicator.
