Senior Azure Platform Engineer

Role overview A senior platform engineering position focused on designing, building, and operating secure, scalable Azure infrastructure for enterprise clients. The role combines deep technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and the practical application of AI-assisted approaches to platform development and operations.

Responsibilities - Design and operate Azure platform capabilities using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform, including module design and state management - Lead Azure networking work covering connectivity, routing, segmentation, and hybrid cloud scenarios - Implement governance, security policies, and platform guardrails aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework - Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps pipelines for infrastructure delivery - Develop automation and observability tooling using Azure-native services plus Python or PowerShell scripting - Create reusable templates and self-service capabilities that improve the developer experience - Apply generative AI to diagnostics, automation, and operational troubleshooting - Mentor engineers and champion platform engineering practices across teams

Requirements - 7+ years in cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform engineering with production-scale Azure delivery - Demonstrated use of the Azure Well-Architected Framework across security, reliability, cost, operations, and performance pillars - Deep Terraform experience; familiarity with ARM or Bicep is welcome - Strong background in Azure networking, identity, governance, and security controls - Experience with infrastructure CI/CD, GitOps, scripting in Python or PowerShell, and observability tooling - Track record building developer-facing platforms, templates, or onboarding flows - Practical use of generative AI tools for infrastructure or automation tasks - Strong communication, ownership mindset, and comfort working in ambiguous, Agile environments - Working English at B2 level or above

Nice to have - Structured use of generative AI within the SDLC, including prompt patterns, workflows, or embedded tool integrations - Interest in agent-based workflows, AI-augmented development, and emerging automation patterns
