Software Engineer - Platform & Productivity

Role overview Join the Platform team responsible for the shared backend components and development systems that every product, workflow, and team member depends on. The platform side builds common capabilities like events infrastructure, webhooks, email delivery, and outbox-pattern queues, while the productivity side builds CI/CD, build and test infrastructure, deployment workflows, and internal tooling. With AI agents generating more code and concurrent changes, the team is reimagining this platform for safe execution, fast feedback, relevant context, and verifiable outcomes.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and operate high-throughput, low-latency shared backend systems that preserve consistency and durability through retries, duplicates, reordering, partial failures, and high concurrency - Create platform interfaces, abstractions, and paved paths with a clean developer experience - Build CI/CD, build, and test infrastructure that scales with growing code volume and concurrent changes - Develop deployment systems and internal tooling that move code from idea to production safely - Enable product teams to adopt shared capabilities instead of building one-off solutions - Support delegation of more work to AI agents through safe, verifiable platform primitives

Requirements - Experience designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency backend systems - Strong understanding of consistency, durability, retries, and handling partial failures - Familiarity with events infrastructure, webhooks, queues, and outbox patterns - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build infrastructure, or deployment workflows - Care for developer experience, abstractions, and paved paths - Comfort working across systems that sit on critical product paths

Nice to have - Experience building developer-facing platform tools - Interest in AI agents and the changing nature of software development workflows - Background with infrastructure-as-code and internal tooling
