Product Engineer - Radar

Role overview Join the Radar team, a real-time identity intelligence layer that helps developers detect risk, prevent threats, and protect their applications. The platform ingests high-volume authentication and identity events, enriches them with signals, and powers workflows customers use to enforce challenges, block suspicious behavior, or trigger reviews. Engineers focus on detection quality, catching real threats with high precision and minimal false positives, in real time, against active adversaries.

Responsibilities - Design and build performant, resilient systems for real-time identity event processing - Craft intuitive APIs and developer workflows that make the platform easy to adopt - Dig into large-scale authentication data to find fraud and abuse patterns, then design, test, and measure signals and models that detect them - Develop a deep understanding of the identity-security landscape, including emerging attack techniques - Measure impact through real-world fraud and abuse prevention outcomes - Collaborate with product and platform teams to embed detection capabilities across the stack

Requirements - Strong engineering background in building performant, resilient backend systems - Experience designing APIs and developer-facing products - Curiosity for exploring authentication data and identifying fraud or abuse patterns - Care for correctness, performance, observability, and detection quality - Ability to design, test, and measure detection signals and models - Comfort working on systems that adversaries attempt to bypass

Nice to have - Background in identity security, fraud detection, or risk evaluation - Experience working with high-volume event streams and real-time processing - Familiarity with machine learning or statistical modeling for threat detection
