Role overview
Lead a dashboard engineering team responsible for the customer-facing surface that spans onboarding, monetization, and AI-powered developer assistance. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with product judgment, shaping what gets built and why while guiding a high-velocity team through discovery, launch, and iteration.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead an engineering team shipping product across growth, billing, and developer assistance surfaces - Stay hands-on by reviewing pull requests, writing prototypes, and partnering with leads on architecture and scope - Co-own the roadmap with product, design, go-to-market, finance, and engineering peers, contributing perspective and driving product decisions where needed - Improve the customer journey from signup through production and expansion using product signals and feedback - Balance rapid iteration with the reliability billing requires and the quality customers expect from AI assistance - Coach, mentor, and grow engineers through direct feedback, clear goals, and meaningful ownership - Partner with recruiting to attract and retain strong engineering talent
Requirements
- Track record leading product-focused engineering teams that shipped measurable impact in high-performing organizations - History of writing code at a high level and continued comfort getting hands-on with engineering work - Bias for action and scrappiness, optimizing for velocity, customer value, and learning over process - Deep care for developer experience, including UX, performance, edge cases, and API design - Strong product thinking that connects customer needs, technical possibilities, and business outcomes - Experience partnering with recruiting to run effective, fair hiring processes
