Remote job
Developer & Agent Experience Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build and evolve the developer and agent-facing surfaces of an identity and authentication platform. This role sits at the intersection of SDK engineering, AI-native tooling, and developer experience, owning every non-dashboard entry point into the product. The work centers on making enterprise-ready authentication effortless whether the integrator is a human developer or an AI agent.
Responsibilities - Ship agent tools and skills so developers and their agents can integrate the platform with minimal friction - Write evaluations to measure whether shipped work actually improves developer outcomes - Talk to customers, surface insights from friction logs and shared channels, and translate them into roadmap - Contribute to the architecture and tooling for fully generated, polyglot SDK pipelines so API changes propagate cleanly across languages - Own and evolve SDKs across supported languages (Node/TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, PHP, .NET) and framework libraries like Next.js, Remix, and TanStack integrations - Build and extend AI-native documentation systems structured as context that performs well in AI editors and agentic workflows - Build developer tooling such as CLIs that make complex integrations feel trivial - Represent the platform publicly through docs, blog posts, open-source contributions, and conference appearances
Requirements - 5+ years of software development experience with a real track record of shipping and maintaining SDKs or open-source projects - Deep fluency in at least three supported languages, with strong opinions on what idiomatic code looks like in each - Experience with or genuine excitement about AI-native tooling such as agent SDKs, context engineering, evaluations, and LLM-powered CLIs - A view of documentation as infrastructure, not just prose - Strong instincts for what distinguishes a great developer experience from a merely functional one - Track record of owning work end-to-end and driving decisions based on customer impact
Nice to have - Comfort working daily with AI agents as collaborators - Familiarity with API specifications that drive generated SDK pipelines - Public writing or speaking experience in the developer-tools space
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote working arrangements - Competitive equity and 401k matching - Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, plus FSA, short- and long-term disability, and voluntary life insurance - Fertility benefits, 12 weeks fully paid parental leave - 20 days paid vacation, 10 holidays, and unlimited sick leave - Monthly stipends for fitness and wellness activities - Commuter benefits available for hybrid employees in major US metro areas - Generous allowance for AI token usage - Outside-US benefits available on inquiry
