Senior Data Engineer

Role overview Build and maintain the data platform that supports analytics, reporting, and operational decisions for a digital asset trading business. This is a hands-on individual contributor position focused on dependable pipelines, well-designed datasets, and platform performance. You’ll work with technical and business partners to understand how data is created and used, then improve its quality and accessibility as needs change.

Responsibilities - Develop and operate batch and streaming pipelines using Python, SQL, Kafka, and Spark. - Manage Airflow workflows, including schedules, dependencies, retries, and recovery. - Create and maintain warehouse datasets and data models for reporting and analysis. - Monitor data quality and freshness, investigate discrepancies, and resolve upstream or downstream issues. - Improve pipeline and query performance while managing compute and storage costs. - Work with data users to define useful datasets and metrics, and document transformations and dependencies.

Requirements - Data engineering experience in crypto or Web3, including ownership of production pipelines or a data platform. - Strong Python and SQL skills and experience building maintainable data workflows. - Hands-on experience with Airflow, Kafka, and Spark. - Experience with warehouses, ETL or ELT pipelines, and data modeling. - Ability to diagnose data inconsistencies and pipeline failures and address root causes. - Ability to work independently and communicate technical details and business needs clearly in Mandarin.

Nice to have - Experience at a centralized crypto exchange, especially with trading, order, or account data. - Business intelligence experience, such as supporting dashboards, defining metrics, or preparing datasets for business teams. - Strong English communication skills.
