About this role

Role overview A Technical Product Expert position focused on the U.S. Public Sector market, serving as the primary technical liaison between product engineering and federal customer requirements. The role centers on translating complex regulatory and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, FIPS) into product specifications and features. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role suited for someone with deep federal compliance expertise and a strong cloud engineering background.

Responsibilities - Serve as the subject matter expert for government offerings, advising internal teams and external federal customers on product capabilities and compliance positioning. - Lead the prioritization and design of features required for U.S. Public Sector compliance, advocating for federal-specific needs within the broader product roadmap. - Engage directly with federal customers, agencies, and mission owners to capture requirements, manage expectations, and translate them into actionable specifications. - Build a "translation layer" that maps external compliance rules to internal product and engineering specifications. - Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing to maintain and communicate a dedicated government-focused roadmap and feature pipeline. - Support lifecycle management of government SKUs, license updates, and periodic review of compliance authorizations.

Requirements - 6+ years of cloud experience, ideally on AWS, with familiarity in cloud-native services and security best practices. - Working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, microservices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar), and API/CI/CD pipelines. - Deep familiarity evaluating controls against NIST 800-53, DoD CC SRG, DISA STIGs, FIPS, and encryption standards. - Demonstrated ability to translate federal compliance requirements into technical solutions and customer outcomes. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret or higher security clearance; active clearance strongly preferred. - Must meet EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15 U.S. person definitions and reside in the contiguous United States.

Benefits and work setup - Full-time U.S. role based on the East Coast with a published base salary range of $163,000 to $223,000 USD, plus bonus and equity eligibility. - No visa sponsorship offered; candidates must have current legal right to work in the United States.
