Role overview A data engineering role focused on building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers analytics and AI-driven products. The position centers on designing scalable pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring data quality, accessibility, and governance across both batch and streaming workloads within a cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data architectures that keep data accessible, clean, and reliable. - Develop data integration workflows that translate operational business needs into working solutions. - Write robust scripts and advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. - Contribute to data warehouse and data lake designs, applying data modeling techniques that support downstream analytics and consumption. - Support both stream and batch processing workflows, working with relational and non-relational databases and optimizing their performance. - Apply version control and CI/CD practices to deliver reliable data solutions, while upholding data governance, security, and quality standards.
Requirements - At least four years of professional experience as a Data Engineer. - Proven track record designing, building, and maintaining scalable pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. - Hands-on experience with data integration workflows and orchestration tools across multiple data sources. - Strong background in relational and non-relational database design and optimization. - Advanced SQL skills plus experience with Azure and Databricks in cloud-based data environments. - Familiarity with batch and stream processing patterns, CI/CD principles, and data quality, governance, and security best practices.
Nice to have - Practical use of AI tooling to streamline data engineering work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation, and the ability to recommend where AI can add the most value.
