Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Role overview Build software for a platform used to manage unstructured data and support machine learning development across the AI lifecycle. The work spans an open source SDK and enterprise APIs, interfaces, and backend systems, with a focus on scalable services for image and video datasets.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain the SDK and enterprise product features across APIs, user interfaces, and backend services. - Scale deployments for large vision datasets, including installations in customer cloud environments and on premises. - Write production software that is maintainable, performant, flexible, and well tested. - Improve engineering practices through tooling, automation, and shared standards.

Requirements - At least eight years of professional full-stack software engineering experience building maintainable, scalable systems and architectures. - Strong Python expertise and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DocumentDB, or Elasticsearch. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field. - Ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.

Nice to have - TypeScript experience.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote role for candidates based in the United States; occasional travel for in-person retreats is expected. - Cash compensation listed as $200,000–$225,000, plus equity options and benefits.
