AI integration internship: chatbots and workflows (m/f/d)

Role overview Help build chatbots and automated workflows that handle real business tasks, from collecting information to passing it between systems. During this 3–6 month internship, you’ll work across conversation design, prompts, integrations and testing, learning how to make AI features useful and maintainable in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities - Assist with chatbot and assistant development, including conversation flows, prompts and connections to stores, CRMs or databases. - Build workflows with n8n, Make or Python to move data between services and language models. - Test against realistic examples, identify failure cases and document when a person should take over. - Help prepare knowledge bases for retrieval-augmented generation approaches. - Document solutions so that clients and teammates can understand and maintain them. - Optionally contribute to internal software tools.

Requirements - Current studies in computer science, business informatics, media informatics or a related field; technically experienced career changers are also welcome. - Initial programming experience in Python, JavaScript or PHP. - Practical familiarity with language models such as ChatGPT or Claude, ideally beyond conversational use. - Organized working habits and willingness to ask questions when uncertain. - Good German for working with German-speaking clients.

Nice to have - Initial experience with n8n or Zapier, REST APIs, or SQL databases such as MariaDB or PostgreSQL.

Benefits and work setup - Hybrid internship in Leipzig and from home, starting from 9 November 2026; full-time or adjusted hours can be arranged. - Work on client projects, with a dedicated contact and regular check-ins. - Access to tools used in the work, including Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, n8n and Make. - A longer collaboration, working-student role or thesis project may be possible after the internship, depending on fit.
