About this role
Role overview Technical architect role combining hands-on engineering with leadership, focused on data warehouse, analytics, and site reliability engineering for digital privacy and zero-trust security products. The position partners closely with engineering managers and other architects to design, build, and operate mission-critical data infrastructure at scale.
Responsibilities - Lead system design and architecture reviews for scaled data warehouses and analytics applications - Design data lakehouse architectures, data modeling, and integration patterns for deploying data as a service at scale - Author and review Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and maintain architectural documentation - Provide technical direction for scaling data storage, processing, and deployment initiatives - Drive reliability, performance, and security best practices for data systems and SRE - Monitor and reduce technical debt across data storage, processing, and reliability engineering - Coach and mentor engineers on data systems architecture and best practices, contributing high-quality code to critical components
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience - At least 7 years of data warehouse, database, or data processing and analytics experience - Proven experience in architectural or technical leadership roles - Deep SRE experience deploying data and AI analytics applications at scale in cloud environments - Familiarity with DevSecOps, AIOps, and MLOps - Excellent verbal and written communication with strong presentation skills - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices - Knowledge of data privacy, encryption, and zero-trust security models
Nice to have - Experience architecting Microsoft 365 add-ins with a focus on security, performance, and user experience - Contributions to open-source projects or active technical community involvement - Comfort constructively challenging teammates and managers in the pursuit of excellence
