About this role
Role overview Build deep technical expertise that helps resolve complex customer issues and improves how internal teams support and operate observability systems. You will reproduce challenging problems, work with developers on lasting fixes, and create tooling, monitoring, and shared guidance. The position suits an experienced systems or software engineer who is comfortable combining technical investigation with customer-facing urgency.
Responsibilities - Investigate difficult customer problems and reproduce them in sandbox environments, including under load. - Partner with developers to diagnose and resolve product issues. - Create internal tools for observability, automation, problem detection, and operational efficiency. - Develop monitoring, dashboards, runbooks, and guides for internal use. - Lead root cause analysis and document durable solutions in a shared knowledge base. - Coordinate with engineering, customer success, and solution engineering, including during critical incidents.
Requirements - At least four to five years in a senior technical role such as software development, SRE, performance engineering, or systems engineering. - Strong troubleshooting skills and experience investigating distributed systems and infrastructure. - Practical Kubernetes experience and solid Linux knowledge. - Strong programming or scripting ability; Go is an advantage. - Clear English communication, including the ability to explain complex technical issues. - Ownership, urgency with external customer issues, and comfort adapting as processes evolve.
Nice to have - Experience with time-series databases or monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus. - Familiarity with log storage and analysis platforms. - Experience with open-source technology and community participation.
