About this role
Role overview Guide customers through complex observability challenges across Linux, cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. You will lead technical discovery, design and demonstrate solutions, and help teams instrument real workloads so they can understand metrics, logs, and traces and improve incident resolution. The role also brings customer requirements back to product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities - Assess customers’ existing monitoring systems and observability needs alongside enterprise sales teams. - Recommend efficient solution architectures for varied infrastructure footprints and explain relevant enterprise capabilities. - Design and deliver advanced demonstrations and proofs of concept using real workloads, agents, or OpenTelemetry collectors. - Plan scalable deployment of agents and collectors across Kubernetes, virtual machines, and bare-metal systems. - Work with development, support, and product teams to translate customer needs into technical feedback and improve engagements. - Create technical materials such as guides, scripts, sample dashboards, and white papers.
Requirements - At least five years in presales, SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering, including complex technical sales cycles. - Strong Linux troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing CPU, memory, and disk I/O issues with command-line tools. - Deep understanding of observability across logs, metrics, and traces, and how it supports faster incident resolution. - Experience diagnosing missing metrics, high-cardinality data, slow queries, and alerting problems. - Knowledge of Linux internals, Docker, networking fundamentals, and monitoring or observability tools. - Proficiency in Bash and at least one automation language such as Python, Go, or Ruby.
Nice to have - Kubernetes experience at scale, including sidecars, DaemonSets, or Helm charts. - SSO and authentication knowledge, advanced PromQL, or infrastructure-as-code experience. - Contributions to open-source projects.
