Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Role overview Take ownership of product features end to end at an early-stage, founder-led company, working remotely from the EU. The role covers the full stack — interface, API, database, and deployment — with a focus on shipping the simple version first and raising the quality bar for the engineers who follow. You will work directly with the founder and the product's earliest users, with no project manager or ticket queue in between.

Responsibilities - Own product features across the stack, including Next.js front-ends, Bun and Node services, Postgres, and deployments. - Take features from a rough sketch to release: schema, API, interface, monitoring, and rollout. - Partner directly with the founder and first users, without a project manager layer. - Set a high engineering bar through clean diffs, fast tests, and careful reviews, including code produced by AI agents. - Build the foundation the next engineers will work on, with conventions that make the right way the easy way.

Requirements - At least five years building production web software and taking a product from zero to first release. - Deep TypeScript, solid React and Next.js, and comfort running Postgres, queues, and a basic cloud deployment yourself. - At least one year of ownership over a production system and a clear desire for that responsibility again. - A bias for reading existing code before writing new code, deleting more than you add, and shipping the simple version first. - The ability to argue for a feature as carefully as against it.

Nice to have - Experience with real-time, local-first, or sync systems. - A track record of shipping inside a team of fewer than five. - Time spent on call for a system you also wrote.
