Role overview
Help build and operate software that improves the speed and reliability of data exchange across a distributed network. The work centers on TCP performance proxies, traffic management, and moving critical services to Kubernetes, alongside the monitoring and support needed to keep them running.
Responsibilities - Maintain business-critical applications and assist engineers with technical issues. - Diagnose incidents, reduce service interruptions, and use automation or AI-assisted workflows to speed up recurring triage. - Deploy and maintain infrastructure, including migrating applications to Kubernetes and improving deployment automation. - Build automated playbooks for repetitive operational tasks. - Write and maintain runbooks, and apply software upgrades and security patches. - Support testing and monitoring systems for network performance services.
Requirements - Software engineering experience relevant to developing or operating production systems. - Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support other engineers. - Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting technical information.
Benefits and work setup - Hybrid schedule based at a Carlsbad office, with at least three days onsite each week and the remaining workdays remote.
