Role overview This role leads end-to-end delivery of geospatial and network management software implementations for fiber and telecom operators. The technical project manager will coordinate data migration, system integration, and stakeholder alignment across complex enterprise environments, partnering with technical leads to define solution architecture and drive successful go-lives. The position suits someone with a strong background in GIS, telecom infrastructure, data migration, or enterprise asset management.
Responsibilities - Lead full-lifecycle implementation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery - Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors - Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations - Coordinate data migration activities covering mapping, transformation logic, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning - Oversee integration efforts across GIS platforms, ETL pipelines, APIs, middleware, and external enterprise systems - Manage risks, issues, and dependencies with proactive mitigation strategies - Facilitate SIT and UAT cycles, track KPIs, and support post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field - 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in telecom, utilities, or GIS environments - PMP and/or Agile/Scrum certification - Proven track record delivering data migration and system implementation projects - Working knowledge of GIS platforms such as the ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem, ETL tools, and data integration patterns - Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Nice to have - Experience with telecom or utility network data structures, including outside plant, fiber, and infrastructure assets - Familiarity with spatial data concepts such as topology, coordinate systems, and geodatabases - Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS - Ability to interpret SQL queries, data transformations, and validation scripts
