Role overview
A remote engineering team is hiring a full stack developer to build end-to-end features on client-facing web products. The position is full-time and centered on owning work across the entire stack — from database design through API contracts to the rendering layer. It fits a candidate equally comfortable on both sides of the stack, rather than a frontend-leaning engineer who occasionally writes a server endpoint.
Responsibilities
- Develop full vertical features across server and client layers for production web projects - Design REST and GraphQL contracts and data models that stay coherent under realistic load - Build interfaces with Next.js and backend services in Node.js or Python - Carry features from ticket through production release and post-launch validation - Participate in architecture discussions and push back when a plan does not hold up - Monitor shipped work and follow through when something feels off after release
Requirements
- Portfolio-verified proficiency on both frontend and backend, not a frontend specialist who dabbles in server code - Hands-on experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs - Strong understanding of relational databases and document stores - Comfort with deployment pipelines and foundational cloud infrastructure concepts - A self-directed ownership style — catches issues and closes the loop after a feature ships
