DevOps Engineer

Role overview

This is a remote, full-time engineering role focused on building production-grade cloud infrastructure for client projects from the very first commit. The position blends cloud architecture, CI/CD pipeline construction, and observability work, with a strong emphasis on leaving systems the client's own team can confidently maintain long after the engagement ends.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement cloud infrastructure for client projects on AWS, GCP, or Azure - Build CI/CD pipelines that development teams can read, debug, and extend without specialized tribal knowledge - Stand up monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling from day one of every deployment - Embed security best practices across every layer of the infrastructure and release process - Document infrastructure decisions and architecture in a way that outlasts the engagement

Requirements

- Strong production experience with AWS or GCP in real, customer-facing environments - Practical command of Docker and Kubernetes beyond tutorial-level familiarity - An infrastructure-as-code mindset with working knowledge of Terraform, Pulumi, or comparable tooling - A security-first approach applied to every architectural decision - Empathy for the engineering team that will inherit and operate the systems after handoff
