Role overview

The Senior Quantitative Scientist, Implementation will lead the design and delivery of scalable analytical workflows built on complex healthcare and electronic health record data. The role combines hands-on statistical programming, technical leadership, and client-oriented problem solving to produce reproducible real-world evidence for clinical, commercial, and life-science applications.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement robust, scalable workflows for analyzing messy observational and healthcare datasets. - Lead retrospective studies using electronic health record data, including statistical analysis plans, algorithm development, and interpretation of results. - Establish best practices for code review, version control, documentation, reproducibility, and collaborative analytical work. - Advise teams on the business value of investments in analytical infrastructure, automation, and scalable processes. - Translate clinical and commercial questions into practical analytical approaches in partnership with product, medical, engineering, and commercial stakeholders. - Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences while promoting scientific rigor and continuous improvement.

Requirements

- Master’s degree, doctorate, or equivalent practical experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. - At least five years working directly with healthcare, outcomes, electronic health record, or similarly complex datasets. - Strong experience with observational data analysis and advanced analytical methods used to generate real-world insights. - Proficiency with R, Python, PySpark, AWS, Databricks, and Git-based development workflows. - Demonstrated ability to improve technical and analytical processes and provide leadership on workflow optimization. - Clear communication skills and the ability to balance methodological rigor with practical delivery in a fast-moving commercial setting.
