Role overview
This engineering management role leads two product squads (around 11 engineers combined) responsible for a customer-facing platform that helps organizations automate and share security and trust information with their own customers. It is an execution-first position in a high-visibility product area where the roadmap is already defined and product–market fit is proven, sitting at the intersection of agentic AI innovation and enterprise expansion. The manager partners closely with product, design, and go-to-market counterparts to deliver with urgency and precision.
Responsibilities
- Lead two engineering squads to deliver consistently and sustainably against a clear product roadmap - Set a high-accountability, high-ownership delivery culture through weekly goal tracking, tech spec reviews, and proactive project visibility - Partner with product and design to shape roadmap priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, and ensure engineering is a strong voice in what gets built and why - Engage meaningfully in technical decisions by reviewing specs, participating in architecture discussions, and guiding sound engineering choices - Attract, grow, and retain strong engineers; manage and uplevel senior individual contributors - Work cross-functionally with go-to-market, an internal AI platform team, and other partners to identify opportunities, clear blockers, and ship for the business - Contribute to engineering-wide processes, norms, and practices that help the broader organization scale
Requirements
- 2+ years of full-time engineering management experience leading teams of 6–8+ engineers - Track record of running high-execution teams with disciplined delivery practices such as tech spec reviews, weekly goal tracking, and strong timeline accountability - Experience managing and developing senior individual contributors - Product engineering background leading customer-facing software teams (not primarily infrastructure or platform) - Technically engaged and comfortable in architecture discussions; able to read specs critically and make informed tradeoff decisions - Proven ability to shape product and long-term technical strategy in close partnership with a product manager - Strong decision-making under ambiguity, balancing available data, speed, and quality - Active, thoughtful use of AI tools in day-to-day work to amplify skills and maintain a high quality bar
