About this role
Role overview A senior data engineering role focused on building resilient, large-scale data pipelines using Snowflake and Agentic AI tooling alongside Databricks and Azure. The position centers on moving and transforming data across zones in a distributed environment and supporting both batch and real-time workloads for an analytics and data science program.
Responsibilities - Design and operate highly available, distributed batch and real-time data pipelines - Build fault-tolerant, self-healing computational pipelines with high accuracy - Lead complex implementation efforts and provide technical consultation across the program - Maintain documentation for all assigned systems and projects - Tune and optimize queries running over billions of rows in distributed query engines - Conduct root cause analysis and deliver permanent fixes for software or process issues
Requirements - Hands-on experience with Agentic AI and Snowflake - Strong query-heavy T-SQL skills on SQL Server (not ORM-based) - Read-only PostgreSQL experience, including working with replicated databases - Python with FastAPI for service development - scikit-learn for percentiles and outlier detection - Familiarity with carrier acceptance or likelihood modeling concepts - Kafka consumption experience (not necessarily building producers) - Ability to read C# well enough to extract embedded logic - Working knowledge of AWS services including S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch - Terraform literacy focused on reading existing configurations - Industry experience executing data engineering, analytics, or data science projects, or a quantitative degree such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a computation-intensive field
Nice to have - Deeper specialization in T-SQL query optimization - Additional PostgreSQL exposure with replica-based read workloads
Benefits and work setup - Full-time position based in Colombia - Remote and hybrid flexibility, depending on country - International mobility and structured professional development programs - Access to training resources and modern tooling
