Senior Python Engineer

Role overview Own backend services from initial implementation through production operation and ongoing improvement. You will build APIs and cloud-based systems, contribute to microservice architecture, and work with a cross-functional team in product environments that may include practical AI applications.

Responsibilities - Build, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs. - Manage services across development, release, monitoring, incident response, and improvement. - Shape system architecture and improve scalability, performance, and the engineering stack. - Raise code quality through reviews, testing, and effective CI/CD practices. - Support cloud services and deployment workflows using AWS, Docker, and delivery pipelines. - Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to team practices.

Requirements - At least five years of backend engineering experience; Python experience is preferred, with openness to switching languages also considered. - Strong API development experience with Flask, Django, or a comparable framework. - Experience operating production microservices, debugging issues, and handling incidents. - Working knowledge of SQL, ORMs, and queueing systems. - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, plus hands-on Docker and AWS experience. - Strong English communication and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team.
