Role overview
Join a small, cross-disciplinary game team on a fixed-term contract to create and ship gameplay features and content. The work spans engineering and creative implementation, with ownership from rough concept through polish and release. Responsibilities
- Develop clean, performant Lua/Luau for gameplay features, UI, visual effects, and content updates. - Take features from concept through implementation, testing, polish, and deployment. - Improve controls, feedback, and usability to create satisfying player experiences. - Contribute across disciplines, including asset integration, interface layout, camera work, and particles. - Collaborate with teammates and learn new systems as project needs evolve.
Requirements
- Lua/Luau programming skills and a focus on quality and performance. - Creative judgment about gameplay feel and user experience. - Ability to own work through delivery and collaborate across disciplines. - Must be at least 18 and eligible to work in the US or UK.
Nice to have
- Specialized expertise in one or two areas, or breadth in UI/UX, game design, graphics, audio, visual effects, or 3D modeling and texturing. - A portfolio with shipped work, playable projects, videos, or code samples. Applicants are encouraged to clarify their contributions.
Benefits and work setup
