Team Lead Engineering

Role overview Lead a squad of four engineers while staying hands-on in the development of a feature-management platform. The role is planned as roughly 70% engineering and 30% team leadership, combining end-to-end product delivery with coaching, team health, and responsibility for squad outcomes.

Responsibilities - Own features from discovery and design through deployment and improvement in production; work with product managers and designers to shape solutions. - Maintain engineering standards and contribute to technical direction, improving platform reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability. - Apply reliability practices, automate operational workflows, and help investigate production incidents when needed. - Coach squad engineers through day-to-day collaboration, feedback, and development conversations. - Support a team environment where engineers can grow and do strong work. - Lead squad delivery and performance while keeping technical work connected to shared outcomes.

Requirements - Senior-level engineering experience suited to a role that combines hands-on software development with leadership of a four-person squad. - Ability to own product work from discovery to production and collaborate closely with product and design partners. - Strong technical judgment across quality, reliability, architecture, and operational concerns. - Interest and ability in coaching engineers through practical collaboration and feedback. - Comfort supporting team delivery, growth, and health while remaining close to the code.

Nice to have - Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS, the technologies identified for the platform.
