Role overview
Build and harden a high-performance cloud compute platform across hosted and on-premises environments. The work focuses on core systems components, strong workload isolation, and low-latency operation at scale; improvements to reliability and efficiency can affect very large numbers of running workloads.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain core platform infrastructure. - Develop components that support scale-to-zero, autoscaling, and workload isolation. - Improve performance, security, and reliability across varied workloads, including serverless functions, AI agents, remote development environments, and telemetry systems. - Create stress tests, long-running soak tests, and regression checks to validate behavior under real-world load. - Investigate difficult failures such as rare race conditions and resource leaks. - Contribute to technical roadmaps and bring user feedback into platform development.
Requirements
- Strong C programming skills and a deep understanding of systems programming. - Experience in operating systems, embedded systems, or related low-level development. - A systematic approach to reproducing, isolating, and resolving complex bugs. - Experience with GCC, Clang, C build systems, and cross-compilation workflows. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
