Job details
About this role
Role overview A cloud-native contact centre platform is seeking a Deployment Specialist to join its Forward Deployed Engineering team and serve as a hands-on technical resource on complex customer programmes. Sitting at the intersection of Implementation, Technical Support, Solution Engineering, Integration Services, and Software Development, you will translate business requirements into production-ready solutions across the full deployment lifecycle. The role is well suited to someone technically curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to own tough technical problems through resolution.
Responsibilities - Translate customer requirements and solution designs into executable technical implementation activities for complex programmes. - Configure, test, and validate customer-specific solutions, supporting user acceptance testing, production readiness, launch, and post-launch stabilisation. - Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot integrations with customer and third-party systems using REST APIs, HTTP methods, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, JSON payloads, and structured data. - Build, test, and document lightweight scripts, workarounds, proofs of concept, and tailored solutions where standard configuration falls short. - Identify technical blockers, risks, dependencies, and integration gaps early, and take ownership of assigned deliverables through completion. - Develop reusable scripts, integration templates, and troubleshooting guidance, contributing to internal documentation and shared knowledge bases. - Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams on recurring implementation challenges and opportunities for tooling improvements.
Requirements - Three or more years in a technical customer-facing role such as Technical Implementation, Professional Services, Solution Engineering, Integration Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Technical Support, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Software Development. - Demonstrated experience with complex enterprise software deployments, implementations, or integrations. - Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and HTML, with the ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify lightweight code. - Hands-on experience working with REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, webhooks, authentication, and request and response payloads. - Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, including the ability to read and interpret application, platform, API, and integration logs. - Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have - Familiarity with authentication, authorisation, configuration management, and basic application security practices. - Understanding of the software development lifecycle across development, test, staging, and production environments. - Prior experience working with enterprise customers in technically complex or high-touch settings.
Benefits and work setup - Annual Canadian hiring range of $85,000 to $140,000 CAD, with actual placement depending on geography, experience, education, and skill level. - Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, wellness benefits, and additional perks. - Applicants must already be legally authorised to work in the country where the role is located; visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
