Role overview
This role designs, deploys, and maintains system and data integrations that connect internal applications, external partners, carriers, and customers across the transportation and logistics stack. It combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, ensuring ETL pipelines, EDI and API exchanges, and analytics infrastructure operate reliably at scale. The position is a telecommute role open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States, with an office referenced in Frisco, TX.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement integration solutions that connect systems, software, and technologies efficiently. - Deploy implementations to the appropriate environments, including mappings, database setup, envelopes, and related business process changes. - Analyze and debug system integration issues and propose continuous improvements. - Provide integration testing support and expertise to Product, Development, Operations, Customers, Third Parties, Carriers, and QA. - Maintain a forward-looking technical vision and drive continuous technical improvements across the team. - Manage or coordinate work done by outside vendors and contractors supporting the integration function.
Requirements
- Master of Science degree in Business Analytics or a directly related field. - Five years of experience building ETL pipelines, data warehouses, tables, and data pipelines. - Five years of experience querying data in SQL and using results to prepare reports and dashboards for leadership review. - Five years of experience conducting statistical analysis or quantitative modeling. - Five years of experience programming in R or Python. - Five years of experience in EDI or API integrations with internal and external partners. - Five years of experience working in the transportation and logistics industry. - Three years of experience managing teams directly or coordinating outside vendors and contractors.
Nice to have
- Background supporting large freight or logistics data platforms with high transaction volume. - Familiarity with both EDI standards and modern REST API integration patterns.
