Software Engineer, Platform Access (L2)

Role overview Help build and operate identity and access systems that make it easier for developers to work securely across cloud environments. This early-career engineering role focuses on access automation, infrastructure as code, and platform security, with support from more experienced engineers as you develop your skills.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain automation and access tools that streamline developer workflows while protecting cloud environments. - Implement scoped engineering tasks in collaboration with security and technical leads, following established code and testing practices. - Support access infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including identity federation, role provisioning, and account lifecycle processes. - Use Terraform or related infrastructure-as-code practices to manage cloud resources and permissions. - Help maintain monitoring, alerts, and basic tracing for platform data pipelines. - Identify and raise concerns such as excessive access, configuration drift, vulnerabilities, and technical debt; participate in reviews and planning.

Requirements - 1–2 or more years of professional software, platform, or DevOps engineering experience, with exposure to cloud environments, IAM, or platform automation. - Practical experience with, or a strong interest in learning, AI-assisted coding tools for development, testing, or debugging. - Familiarity with Terraform, Harness, or comparable infrastructure automation tools. - Exposure to at least one major cloud provider and its account, identity, or access services. - Willingness to learn secure access practices, contribute to code reviews, and seek feedback from teammates.

Nice to have - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or access controls for managed Kubernetes clusters. - Interest in cloud governance, automated account provisioning, or identity lifecycle management. - Coursework or personal projects in distributed systems, cloud security, or API development.
