Full-Stack Product Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build edge-focused product experiences that integrate machine learning and autonomy to support the missions of intelligence officers, frontline soldiers, and security forces. The role sits at the intersection of product engineering, design, and machine learning inside a small, fast-moving, fully remote startup, with responsibility for crafting applications that run under the resource constraints of edge environments.
Responsibilities - Deliver product experiences that bring advanced machine learning and autonomy capabilities to non-technical frontline users. - Partner with the design team to develop intuitive user experiences that let laypeople take full advantage of sophisticated technology. - Design systems around the known limits and shortcomings of machine learning so it still acts as a force multiplier for end users. - Collaborate with the infrastructure team and other product teams to shape an efficient, elegant application stack suited to constrained edge deployments. - Work with machine learning engineers to design and build internal modeling APIs that support high-quality front-end experiences.
Requirements - 5+ years of full-stack product development experience. - 3+ years working with strongly typed languages such as Go, C++, C#, or Java. - Deep understanding of reactive web frameworks such as Vue and React. - Experience with API design and best practices for REST, GraphQL, and gRPC. - Track record of building maintainable code bases through design documents, code reviews, style guides, and similar practices. - A strong orientation toward iterating closely with design to deliver polished end-user experiences.
Nice to have - Experience designing applications for resource-constrained or edge environments. - Background integrating machine learning or autonomy features into consumer- or operator-facing products.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote, geographically flexible role inside a defense-oriented startup. - Self-driven culture built on autonomy, trust, and strong communication, with expectations of availability during mission-critical situations. - Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance is required.
