Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer – Wealth Management Fintech

Role overview A senior platform role focused on scaling and hardening cloud infrastructure for a wealth-management fintech platform that serves independent advisors. The position blends DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering, working hands-on with Kubernetes, AWS, and PostgreSQL in a high-growth startup environment handling sensitive financial workloads.

Responsibilities - Own and evolve AWS-based cloud infrastructure supporting a rapidly scaling fintech platform. - Design, run, and scale production Kubernetes clusters serving financial transaction workloads. - Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and deployment automation. - Partner with backend and data engineers on PostgreSQL performance, reliability, backups, and horizontal scaling. - Strengthen infrastructure security, network controls, and access management for sensitive financial data. - Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements while helping define operational standards.

Requirements - Six or more years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering. - Deep, practical experience operating AWS environments at production scale. - Strong track record designing and scaling Kubernetes clusters for high-availability systems. - Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and modern CI/CD pipelines. - Working knowledge of PostgreSQL administration, tuning, and scaling under heavy load. - Solid grasp of cloud, network, and application security, including handling sensitive or regulated data, plus the autonomy to operate independently in a fast-moving startup.

Nice to have - Background in fintech, wealth management, banking, lending, payments, or other transaction-oriented platforms. - Experience designing infrastructure for financial-data platforms or working in SOC 2 compliant environments. - Hands-on Python skills for automation and tooling.
