Role overview A consumer fintech is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to advance marketing efficiency, attribution, and experimentation through customer lifetime value modeling, media mix attribution modeling, and causal impact assessments of marketing strategies. The role also leads the product scientific experimentation program, building tooling and processes that let product and CRM teams run their own experiments. The data science team partners closely with product and engineering to test features that help customers understand, track, and improve their personal finances.
Responsibilities - Build the next generation of customer lifetime value models and integrate them into operational decisions and marketing portfolio optimization. - Support internal marketing effectiveness measurement and estimation approaches such as media mix modeling and attribution. - Lead projects end to end, making implementation and scope decisions while balancing technical and business goals. - Design and conduct experiments to estimate the impact of marketing and product strategies, scaling a systematic experimentation program. - Work with data engineering and analytics teams to build scalable, durable machine learning and analytics pipelines that power experimentation operations. - Contribute to system architecture, design, deployment, and evaluation for predictive feedback signals sent to digital ad networks and to the in-house experimentation engine.
Requirements - Six or more years of professional data science experience with proficiency in SQL, at least one scripting language, statistical modeling, and scalable experimentation tooling. - Direct experience building production-grade tooling for internal decision makers, using experimental and observational data to drive marketing and product strategy. - Deep professional experience in several of the following: customer segmentation, customer lifetime value modeling, A/B testing and causal inference, and media mix modeling. - Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to document work, solicit feedback, and secure alignment across collaborators. - Background partnering with engineering teams on feedback signals between applications and ad networks or on experimentation engine features. - Comfort with continuous product feedback loops and the practice of building, testing, and delivering internal-facing predictive tools.
