About this role
Role overview This senior role sits within a blockchain intelligence organization that supports public- and private-sector agencies investigating financial crime. The analyst owns a priority coverage area end to end, turning on-chain tracing, OSINT, and other signals into finished, source-cited intelligence products across threat categories such as scam/fraud, counter-narcotics, and money laundering.
Responsibilities - Own a priority coverage area and deliver finished, source-cited intelligence products across multiple threat categories. - Design and build AI-driven pipelines that process diverse intelligence signals to augment target selection and scale lead generation. - Trace funds across chains and through obfuscation, correlating on-chain activity with off-chain OSINT, including Mandarin-language sources, to attribute money-laundering organizations and illicit networks. - Drive attribution and leads that strengthen delivery across scam/fraud, counter-narcotics, nation-state, and facilitation and money-laundering work streams. - Set ambitious coverage goals and raise the standard of tradecraft across the broader intelligence team. - Develop reusable AI methods and pipelines that peers across the team adopt.
Requirements - 5 to 8+ years in blockchain intelligence, crypto investigations, threat intelligence, or financial-crime investigations. - Strong OSINT and off-chain investigative tradecraft, with the ability to connect on-chain activity to real-world people, companies, and networks. - Domain expertise in professional money-laundering organizations, illicit gambling networks, or underground banking. - Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end AI pipelines and critically evaluate their output. - Track record of independently running complex investigations and producing clear written intelligence with proper sourcing.
Nice to have - Hands-on blockchain tracing experience (training on internal tooling is provided for strong investigators). - Mandarin Chinese fluency.
Benefits and work setup - Distributed, remote-first role with low travel expected for occasional team engagements. - US-based preferred though not required, with 3-4 hours of overlap across US time zones for syncs. - 30/60/90-day milestones that anchor ramp-up to active case ownership, an initial reusable AI pipeline, and measurable coverage impact.
