Job details
About this role
Role overview
Use geospatial intelligence to help identify and disrupt organized scam operations. You’ll locate suspected compounds, trace the people and devices associated with them, and combine location findings with other intelligence to produce actionable leads for law enforcement and government partners. The work spans imagery analysis, commercial location data, open-source research, and collaboration with a broader threat analysis team.
Responsibilities
- Find and map suspected scam compounds using satellite or aerial imagery, geolocation methods, and open geospatial sources; monitor changes such as expansion or relocation. - Assess where people and devices may be located using commercial location signals, IP geolocation, and other relevant telemetry. - Combine location findings with on-chain attribution, open-source intelligence, and commercial data to develop views of operators and their movements. - Follow leads from an address, IP, image, or victim report toward the facilities and people potentially connected to an operation. - Work with threat intelligence and all-source analysts to turn disruption plans into targeting packages for public-sector partners. - Document methods, confidence levels, and findings in clear, actionable written analysis.
Requirements
- Three to five years of practical experience in GEOINT, imagery analysis, or location-based targeting, gained in government, law enforcement, or a relevant private-sector setting. - Strong geolocation and imagery tradecraft, including the ability to place a photo, video, IP, or coordinate and explain the reasoning. - Ability to work with open-source and commercial tools when government systems or classified data are unavailable. - Skill in link and pattern analysis, correlating different sources into defensible assessments. - Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to distinguish evidence, confidence, and personal contribution. - Practical use of AI tools to support analysis and produce or refine work outputs.
Nice to have
- Experience with mobile advertising identifiers, bidstream, or other commercial location datasets; familiarity with both GEOINT and ad technology is especially relevant.
