Linux & Automation Engineer (DevOps / Platform)

Role overview Help build and operate modern infrastructure for safety-critical communication and information systems used in air traffic management, public safety, and transport control centers. As a Linux and Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain Linux-based environments that power secure and reliable software delivery. The work blends platform engineering, virtualization, containerization, and CI/CD automation in a Scrum-based team.

Responsibilities - Implement and maintain complex Linux-based environments - Manage and optimize virtualization with KVM and container platforms using Podman - Harden systems and ensure compliance, including SELinux configuration and troubleshooting - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins - Automate operational and deployment tasks using Python and Bash - Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve reliability and efficiency - Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing system optimization

Requirements - At least seven years of experience as a Linux and Automation Engineer or similar role - Strong expertise in Linux system administration - Hands-on experience with KVM virtualization and Podman or similar container tooling - Solid understanding of Linux security, especially SELinux - Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins - Proficiency scripting and automating in Python and Bash - English at B2 or higher, with strong written and spoken communication

Nice to have - Solid networking fundamentals - Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible - Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks, including Zabbix, OpenSearch, Data Prepper, Fluent Bit, and Wazuh - Basic database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQL
