A fully remote, full-time motion graphics design role inside a small, high-output AI research and development lab that builds software for mid-market and enterprise clients. The motion designer visualizes complex technical systems through product demos, system explainers, animated UI flows, and cinematic enterprise videos. The position is execution-heavy, demands a high bar for polish, and is paired with a demanding six-day work week.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality motion graphics for product demos, system explainers, AI workflows, and brand narratives - Design animated UI flows and product walkthroughs that feel like real product footage - Produce cinematic explainer videos aimed at enterprise audiences - Translate complex technical systems into visually intuitive, story-driven animations - Collaborate with engineers and product designers to ensure technical accuracy - Develop reusable motion systems and animation frameworks rather than one-off pieces - Iterate quickly based on feedback and shifting product direction
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in After Effects - Strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro - Comfort extracting and adapting design assets from Figma - Solid understanding of UI/UX principles so animations match real product behavior - Portfolio of polished, professional-level animation work, not just short-form social content - Ability to work a six-day, nine-hour-plus schedule with frequent additional hours in a fast, ambiguous environment - High ownership, stamina, and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Experience with Spline or comparable 3D tools - Prior experience animating product interfaces or working alongside technical teams - Basic understanding of software systems or AI concepts
