Test Engineer (QA / SDET)

Role overview Take ownership of testing across a product with backend services, a web application, asynchronous workflows, and AI-powered features. The role combines building reusable test infrastructure with hands-on quality assurance, helping the team find defects that automated checks may miss.

Responsibilities - Map gaps in the existing test suite, including tenant-isolation edge cases, asynchronous processing, and interactions between customer accounts. - Decide which behaviors need unit, integration, or end-to-end coverage and build the supporting test practices. - Develop test infrastructure that engineers can reuse as they deliver features. - Assess whether browser-based automation for the web application is worthwhile and maintainable. - Make AI-related workflows testable while keeping routine automated runs economical. - Manually investigate usability issues, unusual customer-data cases, and release demo-data regressions.

Requirements - Experience in software test engineering, quality assurance, or a combination of both. - Ability to design tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels. - Experience building or maintaining automated test infrastructure for other engineers to use. - Skill in investigating edge cases, usability problems, and regressions beyond what automated checks catch. - Ability to account for tenant boundaries and asynchronous workflows when planning test coverage. - Practical judgment about the maintenance cost and value of browser automation and AI test strategies.
