Systems Integration Engineer

Role overview Design and deliver integrations that connect business applications, data platforms, and infrastructure. The work spans solution design, implementation, testing, and operational handover, with attention to secure data exchange and reliable production performance.

Responsibilities - Assess integration needs and translate them into solution designs, interface specifications, and delivery plans. - Build and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and connections between internal and third-party systems. - Apply authentication, authorization, encryption, and other controls to protect data in transit and at rest. - Test integrations for functionality, performance, and failure handling; investigate and resolve production issues. - Document interfaces, dependencies, and support procedures, and coordinate deployment and handover with relevant teams.

Requirements - Experience delivering integrations across multiple systems, including API and data exchange patterns. - Proficiency with REST APIs and formats such as JSON or XML, along with a programming or scripting language suited to integration work. - Understanding of authentication, access control, and secure handling of data. - Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and assess reliability and performance concerns. - Strong written documentation and communication skills for coordinating technical delivery and operational handover.

Nice to have - Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Experience working in regulated environments with audit requirements.
