Senior Staff Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview Set technical direction for cloud infrastructure while staying closely involved in hands-on engineering. The role leads the design and maturation of Azure environments, contributes to an established AWS estate, and improves shared infrastructure capabilities, reliability, and security across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities - Design and evolve Azure foundations, including landing zones, governance, networking, identity, and security controls. - Guide architecture across Azure and AWS, including multi-account AWS environments and production services. - Own key infrastructure architecture decisions and establish reusable engineering standards. - Develop Terraform modules and patterns for consistent, tested, multi-environment provisioning. - Improve Kubernetes platforms, infrastructure CI/CD, observability, and Python-based automation. - Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical collaboration while partnering with software and security teams.

Requirements - Approximately 8–14 years in cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, including substantial production ownership at a senior technical level. - Strong practical Azure architecture and operations experience, especially with landing zones, governance, networking, identity, and security. - Hands-on AWS production experience; familiarity with services such as EC2, ECS or EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFront, and Route 53. - Advanced Terraform skills, including reusable modules, state management, testing, and multi-environment patterns. - Strong production Kubernetes experience and experience designing or operating infrastructure CI/CD workflows. - Practical Python automation skills, sound cloud architecture judgment, and experience influencing standards, reviewing designs, or mentoring engineers.

Nice to have Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD, Flux, or Helm; observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus; policy as code, FinOps, service meshes, hybrid infrastructure, or regulated and data-residency-sensitive environments.
