Job details
About this role
Role overview
Improve how business teams work by turning repetitive, error-prone processes into practical and dependable automations. You will partner with teams to understand their workflows, identify where automation can help, and own solutions from discovery through rollout, measurement, and ongoing support. The work spans low-code tools, code, system integrations, and AI-assisted processes, with human review retained where it is needed.
Responsibilities
- Map real workflows, including exceptions and handoffs, and agree on scope, priorities, and success measures with stakeholders. - Build and connect workflows using automation platforms, Python or JavaScript, APIs, webhooks, and AI tools; choose an appropriately simple solution. - Test routine and edge-case behavior, adding error handling, logs, alerts, and human review as appropriate. - Monitor launched workflows, troubleshoot failures, and update them as systems, policies, or business needs change. - Document solutions, explain them in plain language, train users, and help teams make appropriate adjustments. - Measure changes in time, accuracy, reliability, and adoption; share results and limitations, and identify solutions that may be suitable for product development.
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant experience in automation, software development, systems integration, or technical operations, or equivalent hands-on project experience. - Experience taking a substantial project from an unclear problem to a working solution. - Hands-on workflow building and troubleshooting in a platform such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or Workato. - Ability to write Python or JavaScript/Node.js, work with REST APIs and webhooks, and handle logic beyond low-code tools. - Working knowledge of SQL and complex spreadsheets for querying and validating data. - Practical experience with LLM tools or APIs, including evaluating outputs, understanding limitations, and deciding when human review is needed. - Careful problem decomposition, testing, documentation, and communication with nontechnical partners.
Nice to have
Experience with sensitive or regulated data, measuring operational improvements, or healthcare workflows may be useful.
