Software Architect

Role overview

A software architect is sought to shape the technical direction of client projects, producing high-level designs and guiding implementation across web-based systems. The role blends hands-on building with mentorship and direct collaboration with customers and engineers spanning multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

- Engage with clients to surface requirements, advise on technical approach, and scope timelines - Build and maintain client applications using React, modern JavaScript, and associated web technologies - Champion performant, maintainable code across deliverables - Coordinate with engineers and clients in distributed locations, keeping expectations clear - Mentor and pair with architects and developers both internally and at client sites through video tools - Represent the team externally at podcasts, meetups, and similar community forums

Requirements

- Track record of delivering lightweight, performant applications independently - Approximately 2-4 years of related professional experience - Expert-level React, modern JavaScript, and HTML/CSS skills - Solid computer science fundamentals - Strong independent time management - Open, direct communicator who gives and receives feedback well - Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision

Nice to have

- Background with RxJS, Node.js, Redux, React Native, or libraries such as Angular, Svelte, or Vue - Enthusiasm for emerging technologies tempered by awareness of trade-offs - Prior remote work experience
