Role overview

A software engineering team is hiring a C++ Developer to work on a productivity software product trusted by more than a million users across tens of thousands of organizations worldwide. Most teammates are based in Berlin, but remote candidates living between UTC−1 and UTC+4 are welcomed.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and ship features in modern C++ as part of a focused engineering team - Develop elegant, efficient algorithms for complex problem domains - Take ownership of work end-to-end and decide when a feature is ready to ship, without time pressure - Contribute independently while collaborating with international colleagues on shared goals - Help shape engineering standards and practices that prioritize long-term product quality

Requirements

- Strong C++ programming skills, acquired through formal education or hands-on experience - Academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics - Genuine passion for crafting clean, efficient algorithms - Independent working style paired with creative problem-solving instincts - Solid command of English; German is not required

Nice to have

- Prior exposure to performance-critical or large codebases - Experience collaborating asynchronously with distributed teams across time zones - Interest in productivity, enterprise, or data-driven software products
