Cloud Engineer (gn) - AWS

Role overview A mid-to-senior Cloud Engineer role focused on designing and evolving an AWS-based platform that powers developer self-service and reliable cloud operations. The position is fully remote within Germany and emphasizes building secure, scalable infrastructure that enables product teams to work independently.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and optimize the AWS cloud platform for security, scalability, and efficiency - Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code environments with Terraform and automate workflows using Python, Go, or Bash - Operate and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for applications and infrastructure components - Create self-service capabilities so development teams can provision cloud resources independently and securely - Design and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across platform operations - Identify improvement opportunities and contribute ideas for evolving the platform with new technologies and approaches

Requirements - Hands-on experience building, operating, and automating cloud infrastructure on AWS - Strong grasp of modern cloud architecture principles applied to platform solutions - Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code patterns for robust, repeatable setups - Scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash - Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitHub Actions or comparable pipelines - Solid understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM, networking, least privilege) and observability fundamentals, plus clear cross-team communication

Nice to have - Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
