Role overview
A senior analytics leader is needed to own revenue strategy across affiliate, advertising, and e-commerce lines of business, balancing monetization with long-term audience trust. This is a player-coach role that combines hands-on analysis with team leadership, partnering closely with Revenue, Product, and Marketing leads to define KPIs, run conversion experiments, and scale attribution frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and onboard a small team of analysts, supporting their career growth and day-to-day execution. - Analyze affiliate revenue drivers such as merchant commissions, EPC, conversion rates, and partner yield across content touch points. - Serve as the analytics lead for a newly launched e-commerce store, reporting on unit economics, merchandise performance, cart funnel metrics, AOV, and acquisition and repeat-purchase behavior. - Partner with ad operations to track ad yield (RPM, eCPM), fill rates, and viewability, weighing display and custom content against user experience and page speed. - Evaluate trade-offs between affiliate links, ad placements, and on-site product placements, building a holistic monetization framework that maximizes revenue per user. - Deliver recurring commercial reporting for senior leadership, translating multi-channel revenue dynamics into forecasts and strategic expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- 6+ years in revenue or e-commerce analytics, with direct experience supporting affiliate marketing, digital advertising, or online retail. - 2+ years of people management experience. - 3+ years analyzing diverse revenue models including affiliate, programmatic and direct digital advertising, and DTC e-commerce. - 3+ years running A/B tests, conversion rate optimization, and pricing or placement experiments. - Advanced SQL skills and experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker for commercial dashboards and financial models.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), ad tech/SSP platforms, and affiliate networks. - Proficiency in Python or R. - A quantitative degree in Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
Benefits and work setup
This is a remote position. U.S. candidates may be eligible for variable pay including annual bonus and restricted stock, plus benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, FSAs, a 401(k) match, employee stock purchase plan, paid vacation and sick leave, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and professional development. The annual base pay range is $140,000–$160,000 USD.
